Sugarland's Salish Spirit

In May of 2002, I took a trip to Pat Woodfin's in Texas, to see a litter out of Amy, a bitch that Pat and I co-owned together. From this litter I was taking the pick male home to New Hampshire with me - Bearbrook's "This Bud's For You". At that time I was also most impressed with the pick female that Pat was keeping from the litter, named Sugarland's Salish Spirit.

A couple of years later, Pat offered to send Spirit to us to add to our Newfie family, and needless to say, we were thrilled to have Spirit here with us.

Spirit's first litter was with our young Belgium import, Newf Mermaid Bearbrook. Together the produced a lovely black and Landseer litter.

Spirit's second litter was of a singleton puppy, out of our boy Brewster. I can honestly say that he was quite spoiled by us before he left for his new home!

Spirit had her last litter of four puppies in January '07. They, too, were sired by Brewster. At present I co-own one of the girls from that litter, Bearbrook's Oh My Darlin', with my dearest friend Terri, who resides in Canada.

Later this spring Spirit made a trip back to Pat's in Texas, where she is now retired from the whelping box, and has become a resident couch potato!

A hearty thanks to Pat for sharing this dear girl with us.

You may see Spirit's pedigree here.
